Hello, my daughter and I visited your fantastic zoo today. We had a skunk experience together. We really really enjoyed ourselves. Nat was very knowledgeable about them. The other people who work there, including the lady volunteer, whose first day it was were brilliant. It was great and we will be recommending to everyone we know. Thank you again
We visited the zoo on Weds 01 Oct 25, to see if it would be a good place to visit as a family. A retired couple, we had a great time. The weather was kind, too. We took our time observing the animals large and small. We read about fun facts on the bright and colourful, information signs. There are scheduled talks. We also had opportunities to talk to the keepers and ask questions, which they readily answered. There is a small zoo shop, which I browsed and supported, by taking a tiny gift for a grandchild. We look forward to seeing continued development of this gem of a zoo, on return visits. By chance it is right next door to a dairy with an excellent cafe ... Highly recommended!
Great little zoo with ambitions to grow. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly and my little grandson had a fantastic meerkat experience. He also held or stroked or fed just about every other creature he could manage. The coffee shop at the farm was also very good. Great day out, well done and thanks to the staff.
This was our first time at Holmes Chapel Zoo, and we were impressed. The Zoo has not been open long, and it is still building its collection, however, it was lovely to be able to get close to, and handle a number of small animals (under close supervision!) The keepers are friendly and knowledgeable about their animals, and it was good to be able to be able to put lots of questions. There were plenty of disinfection points around the Zoo. Bidlea Dairy is next to the Zoo and has a cafe with hot food and tons of delicious Ice Cream. Overall a good day out. Child friendly
My granddaughter and I a fantastic time with the meerkats which I had purchased as a birthday present experience. Stephen a staff member who was with us the whole time, was very informative and gave us lots of interesting information. The 40 mins went really quickly. Both the meerkats and tortoises were very active throughout this time. Afterwards we saw all the other animals and thoroughly enjoyed the talks as well as the hands on experience with snake and bugs. Again the staff were keen to talk about the animals and interact with the young children.
A lovely and memorable morning with my 4 year old animal & bug lover! The zoo is quite small which was great as we got to really see everything and you can get up quite close to lots of the animals. There is a little play area too, as an added bonus. We did the wallaby walk through which was very cute, and the animal experience which was definitely the highlight. My little boy held almost everything- the snake, giant snail, cockroach, giant stick insects and more. All of the staff were so friendly, informative and helpful too!
On 30th August my son attended the zoo keeper experience. What a fantastic day we have all had, he gave it 100/10 and would like to do it again for his next birthday 😊. The gentleman looking after us was so lovely, inviting, amazing with my son along with outstanding knowledge of animals! We have come away with tons of facts and figures. He was attentive, caring and very welcoming. Thank you for a superb, unique, very special day filled with memories we won’t forget!

We wanted to help people learn about animals and connect people to nature and inspire them. Zoo2U was born in 2012 and has grown from strength to strength.
